NeedleNote ("we", "our", or "the app") is a studio management application for tattoo artists. This policy explains what information the app handles and how.
Summary
NeedleNote is designed local-first. Client records, session notes, photos, and studio data are stored on your device by default. Optional cloud features require you to sign in and opt in.
Information you enter
The app may store, on your device:
- Client names, contact details, allergies, and notes
- Session records (dates, placement, hours, payments, machine setup, ink mixes)
- Photos you attach (fresh, healed, reference)
- Account email if you enable cloud sync
Photos & permissions
With your permission, NeedleNote accesses your photo library only when you choose to attach images to a session. We do not access your library in the background.
Cloud sync (optional)
If you enable cloud features, encrypted data may be synced to our cloud provider (Supabase) under your account. You can use the app entirely offline without an account.
Waitlist (this website)
If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address only to notify you about NeedleNote releases. We do not sell your email to third parties.
Data retention & deletion
Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Cloud data can be removed by deleting your account or contacting us.
Children
NeedleNote is a professional tool for tattoo artists and is not directed at children under 13.
